If you load your website (http://yoursite.com) and all you see is a list of files this is because you have not named your pages the way the system would like
The main homepage of your site should be named as one of the following depending on the type
- index.html
- index.htm
- index.php
- index.shtml
This is the same for all folders if you create a folder and then browse to the folder (http://yoursite.com/site)
All files in that folder will be shown unless you have a file named so or permissions in place
